Meet the Gurus
Kristi Smith, President and Head Guru
As owner of an IT consulting firm since 2002, Kristi has had plenty of first-hand experience juggling the many roles of a business leader. She offers no-nonsense direction rooted in personal experience and built from a career of working with business owners and sales managers. Kristi believes that business success requires a strong focus and a good sense of humor. Kristi started as a solo-entrepreneur working from a home office, to managing staff in multiple states and earning regional and national sales recognition. She has worked with business owners in many industries and sizes - from individuals to divisions of Fortune 50 firms.

Tina Brandts, Marketing Guru Tina Brandts originally began working with Kristi in 2008 at Kristi Smith Consulting. Her education in psychology and her background as a teacher made her well-suited for the KSC role of Customer Relationship Specialist. As KSC grew, Tina found herself steadily taking over the advertising and marketing aspects of KSC as well. Being able to tap into her creative side, Tina found a greater delight in the new position.
When Kristi launched BDG and asked Tina to join, she happily agreed. As the Marketing Guru, she tackles the BDG blog, social media, branding, web design and function, event planning, and all other inbound-outbound-sideways-upside-downbound marketing. It's more than a full-time job, and she loves it.
